responsible for implementing and monitoring workplace safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role focuses on preventing accidents, especially in handling glass materials, machinery, and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections in warehouse and production areas
- Identify hazards related to glass handling, cutting, and storage
- Ensure proper use of PPE (gloves, helmets, safety shoes, goggles)
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports
- Conduct safety training and toolbox meetings for employees
- Monitor compliance with DOLE safety standards and company policies
- Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation
- Coordinate emergency response procedures (fire drills, evacuation plans)
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of materials
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field
- With BOSH / COSH certification (required)
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer (preferably in warehouse, construction, or manufacturing)
- Knowledgeable in Philippine safety regulations (DOLE / OSH standards)
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and leadership abilities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in glass, construction, or manufacturing industry
- First Aid and Fire Safety Training certification
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits
